Put the requirements in one list
Gather the handover checklist, inspection notes and agreements about items staying. Mark what must remain and what must go. Clarify uncertainty with the landlord or manager before arranging removals.
Separate clearance, cleaning and repairs
Removing boxes and furniture is different from cleaning an oven or repairing holes. Check exactly which tasks are included in each booking. Send the checklist with a clearance request so expectations are explicit.
Check overlooked spaces
Check balconies, sheds, basements and built-in cupboards too. Remove personal documents from drawers and separate disposal items. Keep keys, access cards and handover documents with you.
Allow time for a final walk-through
Allow time between the work and returning keys to inspect the property. Review the checklist point by point and discuss outstanding tasks early. Booking a clearance does not automatically confirm that every landlord requirement has been met.
