A worked example, not a package price
Assume 4 hours with two movers and the truck, plus 20 agreed kilometres. 4 × €138 + 20 × €0.85 = €569. Including VAT, excluding other costs. This does not predict the duration of your job.
What determines working time?
Room count is only one factor. Collecting storage items, dismantling furniture, using stairs and carrying over a long distance all take time. Under our terms, the clock starts on arrival at the first address and stops when the job is finished.
Compare the same scope
Check whether quotes include movers, truck, kilometres, VAT and extra work on the same basis. Parking, materials and disposal may need separate agreement. An hourly figure alone is not a complete comparison.
Get a useful estimate
Send an inventory, photos of large furniture and access at both ends. Use the calculator for an initial range. It assumes two movers; other staffing is agreed separately.
